February 1, 2016

Great day!  Mostly the normal stuff happened. Woke up.  First Five - a good lesson on the fact that there is freedom in obedience.  Got ready for school.

School was good.  A math test set us back a few minutes, but nothing that we could not recover from.

After school, the girls had practice.  The Youngest Princess had cheer practice.  The Young Prince hung out at the school and then warmed up for their game.  The Oldest Princess had her very last high school basketball practice ever. Yes.  It makes me a little sad to say that.  A little sad, and a little excited for her for the things to come.

My Prince and I worked the concession stand during the game.  It was hard to work and watch, but I did get to see the end when the game was tied and the Young Prince made a fast break and a shot that pulled us ahead 2 points.  Then he was fouled and made both of his free throws with about 8 seconds left in the game, pulling us 4 points ahead.  Our boys won!  It was very exciting.

Some friends of ours from church came to the game.  It was good to be able to visit with them for a few minutes.

My Prince left after the game to get to a prayer meeting at the church.

The kids and I stopped by a local restaurant to get them something to eat.  We came home and they ate.  My Prince got home about the same time the kids finished eating.

I helped the Youngest Princess study for her science test.  Then we did our family devotions.  I John 1 was the chapter of the day since we are done with Proverbs now.  The Youngest Princess was sad that it was only 10 verses long.  She wanted to read more.  We finished and shared prayer requests.  We know of so many who are hurting and need healing.  The Young Prince prayed for them all, and then the kids scattered to get ready for tomorrow.

Now it's time for Mandie and bed.
