Thirty Days of Thankfulness - Day 26

Today I am thankful for fun family traditions.

Three years ago, my friend told me that her son had an elf that came to visit from the North Pole.  The elf got to stay at their house from after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve.  Then the elf had to go back to the North Pole, to get ready for the next year's Christmas.  It sounded like so much fun, that we invited an elf to come to stay at our house.

For the last two years, Ruby the elf has lived with us from after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve.  The youngest princess absolutely LOVES Ruby (the oldest two are pretty fond of her as well).  She brings excitement, mischief, and messes into our lives (much like The youngest princess herself :-))!

So, we got home from visiting family for Thanksgiving, and Ruby had returned for her third year of fun.  The youngest princess could not wait to get home, because she just knew that Ruby would be here waiting for her...And she was right!

I am thankful for the fun that we can have as a family, playing together, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

Here are a few pictures of what we found when we came home:

We have a new family tradition that we will begin this year, but I can't tell just yet.  You will have to stay tuned to see what it is!
